However, as I’ve deepened my study and practice of Buddhism, I’ve discovered that many of these books being sold can be requested from a Monastery free of charge, and expressly say on the back that the product is not for resale and should be given away when no longer in use. Is that illegal? No, but it seems like a slap in the face to the people distributing this stuff and eating the costs themselves for someone to try and turn around and sell one of these books.
So, my experience was lovely, definitely will use their services again. I just wanted to bring to whoever reads this attention, that alot of dhamma materials are expressly meant to be given away and not profited off of and that’s just an important thing to note, I think.
